Ukrainian Emblem on a Russian Flag
Does anyone have any idea what this flag is supposed to mean? If I saw the Russian two-headed eagle on a Ukrainian flag I would guess it was some sort of imperialist who wanted to return Ukraine to Russia. But this … ?

Boredom? That’s a pansy guess for me, but I don’t have a clue.
As a comment to your previous post, I’ve noticed that attitude among most of the female Russian friends I have here in Vancouver. Not quite to that gold-digging extent, but they were completely mystified by my Split-The-Bill philosophy. “But…. Guys are supposed to do that!”

This is absurd. I’m holding out hope that you’re a rational person, though everyone else tells me you’re insane, and that I should just ignore you. I haven’t sent you any text messages, I have much better things to do with my time. Remember, you’re the one who posted your phone number and address for the world to see. If you notice, I deleted all the posts that contained personal information. To the person who is spamming him, please stop. Yes, he has posted threatening comments towards me and this site, but he hasn’t actually done anything yet, so such a response isn’t warranted. I will not, however, turn over the IP address of any of the commentators. First, I don’t know who is doing it, and I don’t want to discourage people from commenting, and second, there’s no guarantee that the person doing this ever even commented here. He could have just read the posts.
For those of you who don’t read Russian, here’s a translation of his post:
“If it’s not you who is terrorizing my phone with text messages from a Chinese number and daily phone calls from (number deleted), then you don’t have anything to be afraid of, just give me all the IPs from this prick from his first day of appearance. Otherwise, I’ll put your blog at the mercy of young Russian patriots and they’ll reduce it to smoke and dust from somewhere like Barbados or Trinidad and Tobago. It’s not a request, it’s an ultimatum.”
I’m well aware of the economic forum and Russia Day/Independence Day, but I don’t live my life online, and I don’t tend to post about things when all I’m doing is copying over a common news item. By the way, I’d love to work at Freedom House, if anyone from there is reading

I think you don’t understand how serious I’m.
I received a dozenZ insults, threats on my mobile phone. I’ve a right to strike back. You must to know that yesterday I spent two hours talking with MEGAPHONE security officer in the office near Vasileostrovskaya about these sms and calls, he said they can start investigation and tracking only after they’ll receive official inquiry from police and from FSB in your case, because it had all started from foreign web-site.
I never was a stooly, I always solve my problems myself. I don’t want to end up this with FSB. All I need- their FUCKING IPs!!!! Don’t you understand, yank? I want to know all IPs from their first appearing here, because for sure they didn’t used a dynamic ones from the first day. I just want to give them (one of them is american) a good lesson.
Otherwise you know how Russian State punitive machine is working, I just won’t you have a troubeles.
It’s not your problem, Owen, It’s my problem and their trouble.

Whoever keeps spamming Pietari, please stop. I wouldn’t support anyone doing it to you, and I won’t support you doing it to him. Instead of harassment, engage in argumentation on this site.
Pietari, I won’t give you the IPs addresses of my visitors, period. There is no way to know from that information who is doing this to you. I would, however, help in any investigation against the telephone numbers of the people who are harassing you.

Whether he apologizes or not, I want the harassment to stop. We all know what he said, and a forced apology doesn’t mean anything. I appreciate that whoever is doing this is trying to stick up for me, but this isn’t the way to do it. I’m not going to just hand over IP addresses, but I’m serious when I say that I will help an investigation into the phone numbers that are being used against him.
I’ve had more than enough, and I want this blog to return to civilized discourse. Let’s just put this episode behind us and move forward. I’m willing to forgive and forget.

Ну, самим “хаканьем” сайта ситуацию IMHO не поправишь (а вполне даже может быть что и наоборот), ибо звонки к нему на данный момент уже никакого отношения не имеют. То есть, если Вы его даже из строя выведете - то воздействие на “противника” будет чисто психологическим (причём непонятно в какую сторону: то ли они испугаются и притихнут, то ли кинутся мстить и в разы увеличат поток спама- тут бабушка надвое сказала). во вторых, что есть “хакнуть”? Отдефейсить (сменить главную страницу)? Потереть его содержимое? Или заDDoSить его (то бишь засорить ему каналы общения с внешним миром, не трогая его самого)? Впрочем, при любом методе “наказания”, основной гемор Вы создадите не самому сайтовладельцу, а компании-хостеру сайта (ну почему-то не верю я, что он его со своего домашнего компа пущает). Так что сам сайт я бы на Вашем месте трогать не стал, ибо гемора много, а толку - строго не больше нуля.
А вот что имеет реальный смысл сделать - так это заказать у своей телефонной компании детализацию за прошлую пару недель и присовокупив к ней квантум сатис СМСок с угрозами тупо отнести это добро даже не во всяческие управления Р и К, а в местную ментуру вкупе с заявлением о том, что Вас некое неизвестное Вам хулиганьё достало. Тем самым Вы дадите формальный повод Вашему телефонному провайдеру отправить на callwave.com соответствующее abuse message со ссылкой на заведенное ментурой дело. В этом случае существует весьма ненулевая вероятность, что в ответ провайдер получит логи, в которых будут прописаны время отправки соответствующих SMS-ок и IP компа, с которого это делалось. Ну а дальше - дело техники: менты с этими логами идут к тому провайдеру, в чей диапазон эти адреса входят, по логам доступа в течении 5 минут находят абонента и дальше происходящеев зависимости от содержания СМСок варьируется от ст 130 УК РФ до ст.119, причём дело это практически верное, и менты такие дела любят (ибо им раскрываемость ещё как нужна). В Москве лет пять-шесть назад была целая эпидемия таких развлечений (заспамить чей-нить мобильник через шлюз), но после нескольких успешных дел она как-то оч быстро схлынула…
Единственное, что реально может такому исходу помешать - это доступ через длинную цепочку проксей, но поскольку Вы говорите, что вероятность того, что этим занимается не профессионал-компьютерщик, а представитель “семи процентов человеческой расы” практически сто процентов - то это крайне маловероятно. Так что имеет явный смысел попробовать…

1. Твои друзья-любовники опять активизировались и поставили мой телефон на автоматический дозвон. SIM-ку я выкидывать не собираюсь и завтра я получу всю распечатку и расшифровку звонков и sms.
2. Скинь мне в личку свои контактные данные. Тебе лучше это сделать и пойти со мной в ментовку вдвоём, т.к. в противном случае я укажу в заявлении, что ты организатор всего этого безобразия. Я бы не хотел, чтобы тебя объявили в Федеральный розыск, а потом бы ещё и судили здесь. Знаешь, что такое русская тюряга? А ещё и денег с тебя поимею.
У меня есть твоя фотография и догодайся за сколько времени менты разыщут ту квартиру в доме «на курьих ножках» возле Приморской из которой ты фотографировал реку Смоленку и Дом «ЦФТ» на Октябрьской набережной? Я думаю за час найдут хозяина, а ещё через час выйдут и на тебя.
Поверь, это всё в твоих интересах. Эти твои друзья любовники , возможно, твои враги и тебе самому решать выгораживать их или сдать метам.
3. Скорее всего менты передадут дело в ФСБ (я консультировался с юристом), т.к. ты иностранный гражданин. Далее это дело техники и этих уродов вычислят очень быстро в какой-бы стране они не были.

Seeing as how this all started because you threatened to physically meet me at the train station and “набить мне морду” (beat my face in), you’ll have to forgive me if I don’t want to meet you in person. I would, of course, respond to any inquiries by the police/FSB. My email is lexlibertasATyahooDOTcom. If there is an investigation, send me the phone number of an officer to contact. I think the courts would understand my reluctance to meet you in person after what you threatened multiple times.
To the person/people posting insulting Alexei, I said I’d delete all such messages, no matter who they’re from. If you want to help, leave him alone so we can move on.

It proves only one thing- you should go with me to police and FSB. I served in GRU, I know how the system is working. I don’t offer you a deal i.e. to make in police a written statement on me or to make me a written statement on you. I just want to find the spammers and to punish them.

So, this little feud goes back some time, now it all makes sense. Well, I’m not going to be caught in the middle any more. Yeah, Russia has some really good hackers … but so does Finland. You all can work this out between yourselves. I’m going to delete ALL posts from now on that deal with this theme.

The flag next to it is of a united Russian democratic opposition party “Обьединённый Гражданский Фронт”. So, the meaning of it quite likely is that whoever made that flag sympathizes with Ukraine and hopes Russia will follow Ukraine’s democratic path, which is actually something very common to hear from the Russian opposition forces.
